Car description |
---|
1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle with moon roof, and a Lot of additional parts for Rebuild projects... 2 full doors all intact, 2 run boards, 1front bumper, 2 new fenders(unpainted), extra tire rim, headlight rims, 5 extra VW hubcaps, 2 sun visors, extra fuel pump, break line and many more (see pics).
The vehicle runs however it needs brake work and although the engine runs well, it will not idle because it needs intake manifold bootie part replaced.
I received the Volkswagen in repayment of a loan that I gave my friend. I registered it and drove it a bit but now determine that I do not have the time and money to invest in it. The money is involved because I am not mechanically inclined and would have to pay to get the brakes fixed and the intake manifold bootie part installed and I really need the money instead.
The history of the vehicle as I know it, is that it was bought new in 1971 by the Hetz family in Lincroft New Jesey, for the daughter Michele from Jenewein Volkswagen. Somewhere along the line they painted over the original green color with maroon. They did not do that great of of a job, because the maroon peeled off leaving in my opinion very interesting mosaic look.
It was on the road until 1994 at which time it was taken off of the road and garaged, as the father and son were going to begin a fix it up project. They began buying parts, all new, it looks like, regardless of the condition of the existing parts, all of which work except for the brakes and the intake manifold bootie part mentioned before. I guess that they just wanted new parts.
The father died and the son lost interest and it therefore sat in the garage until my friend acquired it a few years ago. When my friend passed it to me instead of paying me back, he had several extra 1971 Super Beetle parts that he gave me. All of the parts that are pictured are included in the deal, as well as the user manual. The chassis and engine have matching numbers as it is all original.
So there you have it. I need my money, so I am selling it. It has a clear title.
Send a note with any questions.. Thanks Vito in NJ
Q & A:is it a n.j. title now in your name ? is this a semi automatic
Yes it is a New Jersey Title and New Jersey Insured and New Jersey Registration all in my name. No, this is a manual stick shift with a clutch.
