1961 VW 23 WIndows Bus

Original 15 window bus that was converted to a 23 window by Grumpy's Metal in Huntington Beach.

The conversions they do are stamped into the original roof using alot of the original metal.

A1 Full exhaust system

New swing axles and rear suspension, bearings etc. New 4 wheel disc brakes and all new brake lines. Brakes are bay window style so pads are easy to buy and replace. Brake lines need to be bled. Includes roof window glass and sliding metal rag top frame, canvas and headliner. I purchased them from grumpy's metal.

No middle seat are included.

This Bus runs and drives and has a lot of power & torque. Drives 80 miles per hour on the freeway up hill in 3rd gear. Less than 1000 Miles since new motor trans replaced.

General body Description: The body is dry with very minimal surface rust. The floor pans are solid from front to back. Has dents, dings, scratches, missing paint. Damage to passenger side door jamb. Missing middle seat, missing interior panels.

2 of the back side glass pieces are cracked.

Side windows have the long spoons.

Safari windows in the front and back.

Heater works Lights and turn signals all work.
