Car description |

The good: Transmission rebuilt 5 years ago. Rewired to 12 volt. Comes with partial installation and all parts for a sleeper bed from a 66 Campmobile. Lots of metal replaced 12 years ago, all floors, buttcheeks, much of the exterior low down. Rear window is defrost capable (needs to be wired). Brakes good. Master brake cylinder from a VW Rabbit for a planned front end upgrade to disk brakes. New head liner (needs tweaking). Tires are pretty new.
The not so good: Engine seized, needs rebuild. Battery not included. Front is crunched (see Photos). Side impact damage (see Photos). Numerous areas of rust appearing. Front end will need king pin replacement soon (or salvage front end of later model bus with disc brakes).
Partially restored 12 years ago. Completely stripped of paint. All rubber replaced. Rusted out areas replaced with new metal.
This bus is lots of fun to drive. Used for 10 years after restoration as an occasional commute and to haul large loads. I feel that someone else will have the time and energy to fully restore the bus to its former glory.
