Longtime California Car!!
100% Concours Restoration
Pearl White Exterior w/Haartz Soft Top
Rare Brick Seats w/Grey Weave Carpet
15" BRM Wheels w/Michelins & Original Wheels
When an OEM Paint Technical Representative for Dupont sets out to restore a car, you know there won't be any cut corners. This 30 year paint and body mans first car was a '58 Karmann Ghia coupe, and he always dreamed of doing the perfect convertible, and this car was the result. Finished in its original color of Pearl White, the exterior of this Ghia is nearly flawless and is contrasted by an upgraded black Haartz cloth convertible top, and a Brick colored interior. Outside, the paintwork was done to a very high standard which was just detailed to a mirror finsh. All the sheet metal lays perfectly straight and the panel gaps are correct too, and the trim around the car including the luggage rack is in pristine condition as well. Inward, the Brick colored vinyl seats give a punch of color against the grey carpeting and white dash, while the custom Coco floor mats only add to the character of this car too. Features include an AM radio, seatbelts and folding rear seat. Inside and out this Ghia is by far the best example we've ever come across.
The well detailed engine compartment highlights the 1,200cc engine thats bolted up to the standard 4 speed manual. KYB shocks are at all four corners and help this Ghia glide down the road, along with all new bushings and brakes too, so this car not only handles well, but stops quick too. This VW starts easily and drives effortlessly at any speed, a true testament to quality workmanship. This '62 is coming out of the TLD collection, and having been thoroughly restored it must be seen to be truly appreciated, so stop in and see how nice this Karmann Ghia really is, down to The Last Detail.
