I have a 1965 VW Baja Bug that runs and drives good. The previous owner said that the engine was rebuilt when it was converted to a Baja Bug also was repainted inside and out at that time also. The engine is a 1600 dual port with a high rise intake with a Ford 2 Barrel carburetor. The engine starts easy and does not smoke or knock. The engine has an external oil cooler and external oil filter. The 4 speed transmission goes in all gears easy and clutch engages with out chatter and does not slip. The body has a 3 inch body lift and don't see any rust. All the lights and horn and wipers work. the Baja has no heater and the radio and fuel gauge do not work. Over all this is a cool and nice bug. has new ignition switch and both outside door handles with keys. carburetor was done in June of this year. The bug is also in Albuquerque NM Craigslist.
