Mexican Beetle / Bug - 1968 / 1999If you're reading this then you probably know what a Mexican Beetle is...if not, 'll do my best to explain. VW continued to produce Beetles well into the 21st Century down in Mexico but unfortunately, hey do not meet the DOT requirements to import into the US. In order to get one in legally, ou must start with a donor car from which the original backbone of the frame/pan is transplanted into the newly produced one. Once completed, ou've got yourself a "New" Generation Bug with all the updated mechanicals yet titled as on older one. This one was converted in 2000 by BeetleMex starting with a 1999 Mexican Beetle using a 1968 Backbone. Now it's technically a new generation Beetle with the new late model pans, arts, ody, ngine, nterior, uspension, uel injection, tc. I will provide with the purchase of the car some original auto parts for maintanance. Speedometer marks 30243 Kilometers ( Original )Several hundred Mexican Beetles have been brought into the states this way. In fact if you buy new parts they are probably Mexican . Do a little research on the interweb and see how it's done. These make fantastic little City Cars...easy to shift, lways starts, reat snow traction, isc brakes, uel injection, spiffy cloth interior, riginal factory spare never on the ground, actory alarm and theft prevention and nets over 32mpg. Overall it's really a nice little Bug, o leaks, hakes, attles or squeaks. The heater works great, ires are better than 50%, o rust and still has the original paint. Please don't hesitate to give me a call if you have any further questions or need more pics. Thanks for your interest,Mario
