1974 Beetle, uns and drives well. I would say the best feature of this car is the engine, uns strong and sounds great. New ignition coil and entire new distributor including the points. Known issues:1. Small oil leak in back by the push rod tubes. Is a pretty easy fix and does not require the engine to be pulled. You can find push rod tube parts and seals on ebay for reasonable prices. However, t only leaks when running and does not leak very much.2. The breaks need to be readjusted. They work fine, ut do cause a slight left yaw during break engagement. The vehicle is still controllable and able to drive fine.3. The steering wheel has some play in it but that is to be expected with these older beetles. Still the vehicle is controllable and will only need adjusting if one feels so desired to do so. 4. Radio is missing out of the dash board.5. There is rust on the passenger side floor board and has been rusted through about a half inch, y one foot in length. The board is still stable and will not break through unless a lot of weight is applied. The Good news:1. I have driven this beauty many times on the high way and have had no problem getting her up to 80 MPH. Even at that speed the car feels good and does not "shimmy" or shake. Big positive with an older car like this.2. All the lights work great, o include high and low beams. Also the windshield wiper blades work as well.3. The seats are newer and look fantastic. Blue felt with no holes and/or warn spots.4. Headers are in very good shape for its age and no rust is indicated. Some miner tears and mildew noted in one area. Still very good shape for being original.5. I cleaned the carbs myself and was pleased to see that they are in very good condition. This was a daily driver from the previous owner and I have driven it mostly on the weekends. Reliable car all round.
