For sale is a 1971 Volkswagen Bus. This vehicle is a project. I purchased this vehicle from co worker two years ago to restore but never got around to it so now I have decided to sell it. This bus has been off the road since 1995. It has a Corvair engine/transmission installed. This was common back in the day to switch theVolkswagen four cylinder to a Corvair six cylinder. The previous owner said that he replaced a cylinder head "O" ring gasket and never got around to putting the rest of the engine back together. Some parts may be missing. I photographed what I have that came with the vehicle which is included in the sale. I noticed that the carburetors need rebuilding or replacing. The front and rear seats are not attached and I believe of a possible different make. The body appears to be straight other than a few dents. The floors in the front section need patching or replacing. The rest of the floors in the center and back are solid with no rust that I am aware. The rockers appear to solid as well as the rest of the floor. This vehicle looks to have had perhaps one repaint. Most of that repaint is worn away down to the original paint from what I can tell. It doesn't appear to be peeling anywhere so a re paint should be easy. There is the usual rust beneath the windshield. How bad, don't know without removing the windshield which happens to have a crack. The rest of the glass appears to be in good condition. The ignition key appears to be different from the door keys and is missing. I registered this vehicle last week so there is no back fees. I believe you just have to transfer the title into your name. That is all I know about this vehicle. I have tried to be as honest as possible and represent this vehicle the best that I can with the photographs included. This vehicle is being sold As-Iscondition. Payment: A deposit of $300.00 within 24 hours by PayPal. I prefer the balance to be paid in cash. If necessary a certified check or money order can be used but the vehicle can not leave until all funds have cleared the bank. Vehicle is located in Tustin, A. Vehicle must be removed within two weeks of auction end.
