Car description

1982 Volkswagen Vanagon Westphalia Campmobile .... through the years the engine, lutch, rakes etc have all been rebuilt. Runs well with plenty of power .... Tires all match and have 80-90% tread left but are fairly old .... this camper started life in Colorado in the 1980's, pent most of the 1990's in Alaska, nd most of the last 12 years parked in the machine shed with occasional forays out to a polka fest .... pretty much never driven in the winter ... as you can see in the pictures the sink, efrigerator, nd stove are basically unused .... pop up top in very good condition .... exterior paint is pretty faded and dull, t should be touched up and power polished .... even though it has made multiple trips to Alaska through the years it hasn't been driven cross country for many years .... it is currently licensed and I've driven it a couple of hundred miles in the last few weeks ... please view all the photos and ask any and all questions before bidding .... because of its age it must be sold as-is ... I can help coordinate with shipping and would gladly deliver it within 500- 600 miles of 56601 for $1 per mile one way, elivery to one of our nearby airports would be fine to .... $500 non refundable deposit to PayPal is required to prove your seriousness

OK I see that there are over 50 "watchers" and I've received over a dozen questions. Here are some of the answers .... There is almost NO RUST, here is a bit of surface rust, ou can see it in the pictures ..... The rubber seal cushion that goes all the way around the pop up is dried out and cracked and loose in places, t should be replaced ..... The interior is in such good condition because it always has had carpets over the carpets and seat covers on the seats, they are nothing special but I will include them .... The paint is faded oddly because of how the sun shone on it in the shed, also believe the passenger door may have been repainted decades ago, t appears more shiny than the rest ..... The gauge in the dash is a engine heat gauge that was installed when the engine was rebuilt .... The engine has approximately 15,000 miles since the rebuild ..... The thing on the dash on the passenger side is a cup holder gadget that is attached by Velcro, o no holes in dash .... Lots of questions about if the van would make a trip to California or Ohio or Kansas or Florida, tc. I believe it would BUT it has to be sold as is because old vehicles can have problems pop up out of the blue, or instance I drove it about 80 miles last Sunday and the speedometer stopped working, that didn't cause me to break down on the side of the road but that's the type of little problems that can all of the sudden appear .... A few other things I noticed that should be brought to attention, the muffler is a bit noisy, ome little covers are missing on the side, he sliding door handle is gone ..... I have a jack for it and a black BRA for the front .... Well, 'm surprised it didn't sell, t certainly is worth the price. I guess I'll list it for best offer.
