Vehicle was built by Volkswagen utility truck for a German volunteer fire department, nd was equipped to tow pumping equipment. It was never available for purchase in the US, ut was bought in Canada by the owner in the US. Metal dash board is not standard for this yea, nd steel dash was only available in Germany for this year. Vehicle is equipped with a 1600cc motor that has replaced cylinders, rank bearings, new cam and cam bearings, new oil pump, new Kadron dual carbs, eader exhaust, new generator, nd a new starter. Has new front brakes and pads. Front seats have been recovered, as had new door seal installed on the passenger side front door, new seal for the drivers door in is the bus. This is an extremely rare vehicle, nd is an incredible opportunity to own for a true Volkswagen collector.
