Selling a rare 1982 Diesel Vanagon, .6 L with only 108,749 miles now; I drove 5281 miles in eight years. Passed NYS inspection for July without any problems and has done so since I've owned it. I'm sorry to let it go, ut unforeseen circumstances make it necessary. I bought this vehicle because my dream was to run it on veggie oil collected from fast food restaurants. The bus which seats 7 has been well maintained, uns great and has been reliable since I purchased it in 2006. It was only on the road during the summer months and garaged during the winter and therefore not exposed to salt on the road. The 4-cylinder engine is not that powerful, o it will struggle with hills. It has been used only on flat roads in my area. At one point, considered doing a more powerful Subaru engine conversion, ut never got to it. Last summer due to a gasket leak, re-built injection pump was installed. Other repairs consisted of a seized front break cylinder and a minor repair on the clutch mechanics. The bus has two batteries which supply sufficient starting power, nd a stand alone heater which I've never used. The body has been repainted (by previous owner), t has a few very minor dings and the interior is clean with the expected wear and tear of 30 plus years. It is equipped with a radio/CD/speakers. Also included is a Clymer 1980-1982 shop manua, repair manual on a CD as well as more documentation written in German (see photo).Handmade curtains included as well. I reserve the right to terminate this listing at any time.
