Without question one of the most functionally unique vehicles ever sold in the US was the VW bus with the Westfalia camper conversion. Commissioned by Volkswagen, he Westfaila-Werke company in Germany produced the camper conversions beginning in 1951 all the way through to 1979. In the late 60s the very popular "Pop-Top" version was introduced and actually became an iconic cultural symbol of the late 60s and early 70s.
