Car description

1962 Triumph TR3B Roadster

Beautifully restored last year TR3B! Finished in British Racing Green over Biscuit with White piping! Mechanically excellent and ready for shows or driving events!

When the Triumph TR3 debuted in 1955, riumph intended not only to update the previous TR2 but also bring the driving experience and styling into the second half of the 1950s! The car debuted with the TR2's 1991 Inline 4 cylinder motor that made 95 horsepower, lenty for a car that weighed just over 2,000 pounds. In 1957, he "TR3A" was launched, urther improving the car and incorporating wider front grille and front disc brakes, he first production car to feature them as standard equipment! The ultimate iteration came in 1962 with the introduction of the TR3B, f which TCF serial numbered cars came standard with the TR4's 2138cc inline four making 105 horsepower and 127 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a full synchromesh 4-speed manual gearbox.

We are very excited to offer this 1962 Triumph TR3B! The car is finished in a classic shade of British Racing Green over Biscuit interior with white piping and fitted with its correct and original 2138cc inline four cylinder with SU carburetion and four-speed manual transmission! Notable features and options include dual fender-mount mirrors, tone guards, ront and rear bumperettes, olished gas cap, eatbelts, ood shift knob and more! The car rides on 60-spoke chrome wire wheels wrapped in Ultra-Tech 195R15 steel-belted radial tires.

Our TR3B purchased by the previous owner from Dallas, X for his son in late 1983 to use while attneding college. The car was driven and enjoyed several years into his young professional life and finally given back, here a full restoration commenced in the late 1990s. The engine, ransmission and rear end were gone through over a six month period and redone as needed. Originally a red car, t was elected that it be taken down to bare metal and repainted in the attractive British Racing Green that seems to make every British car look a little better. The chrome was also sent out to be redone at this time (about 2000) and new chrome wire wheels were fitted. The infamously terrible original wiring was replaced for a new harness and swapped to positive ground. In late 2000, pholstery work started and all vinyl was replaced for new including the included top, oot cover, onneau cover and side curtains. The car immediately found a garage where it stayed until arriving at our showroom in early 2015. Mechanically outstanding, his TR3 is certainly ready for touring through the countryside or driving through town all the same. The paint will show minor signs of being used, ost notably on some of the forward facing panels, ut remains very presentable and show-worthy. It is very easy to see factory spot welds everywhere they should be, ndicating this TR3 has had the fortune of never coming in contact with any vehicles. Chrome is excellent, s are all vinyl surfaces and supplements, ith no rips, ears or frays. Included is a full-size spare where it should be and a jack, ool, allet, nd new wooden knockoff tool.

Ready to be enjoyed immediately, e would invite any interested parties to call with further questions! Thanks for looking!
