The Triumph was purchased through an Estate Sale where they were selling "Grandma's" little red convertible. I was told she bought new. It had been used around town initially and then saw very little use over the years, and was ultimately parked.
A few years ago, the family decided to spruce up her little sports car so that she could enjoy a few last rides in it.
Mechanicallythe Triumph is in good condition, but will still need some work to make it a weekend driver. It starts easily and the engine runs fine. The engine runs at normal operating temp. No issues with the charging system. Has a new starter and also carb jets. Engine mounts are worn and should be replaced. Also, needs some front end work/alignment. Tires are old. Transmission is in good condition with no issues. Electrics work with the exception of the horn. Brakes work ok, but should be gone through. Brake and clutch hydraulics are fine.
The interioris in good condition as shown in the pictures. The original seats and door panels are in good original condition. Has newer fitted carpet. The convertible top is possibly the original top. It has some tears at the header panel and doesn't fit very well. The rest of the top is actually in pretty good shape.
The body was restored back in the day which included fixing the rocker panels and patching of the floor as well as a repaint. This work was not done correctly, however the car is very solid. The paint has paint checking, scratches, chips etc. Bumpers and grill in good condition as shown in the pictures. Passenger side exterior door handle doesn't turn. Opens fine from the inside. Hood opens fine and the fit is quite good. The Spitfire still looks good despite some of the "patina".

ONCE AGAIN....A NO RESERVE AUCTION!
