1975 was drawing near to the end of the line for the best seller from Triumph's well known 'TR' range. This car has a nice stack of documentation with ownership history from the first owner onward. This TR6 is finished in French Blue (Code 126) over black interior (Code 11) with a black top. Fender flares give the car a bit of a muscular look, while the squared off 'Kamm tail' just aft of the Union Jack flanked 'TR6' script gives the bodywork an abrupt end. A matte black tail section makes the square tail lights and chrome bumpers a focal point on this handsome British roadster.
This particular TR6 has clicked over approximately 81k miles and is a well kept example. Recent maintenance includes the addition of a roll bar, and suspension bushings, but over the years maintenance was an important part of past owner's ownership habits. Receipts included with the car list maintenance items such as: rebuilt carburetors, rebuilt transmission, brakes, wheels refinished, suspension, clutch, and exhaust. The French Blue covered bodywork is in great condition, with all trim and brightwork showing very well. The paint is the original color, but has faded slightly over the years.
Hop in the driver's seat, and you're greeted with clear gauges, clearly labeled switches and knobs, and a vintage radio with upgraded speakers. Interior upholstery and trimmed surfaces show very well, which makes this British Sports Car a perfect place to be for top down motoring!
Once the hood is open, our eyes are immediately drawn to the twin Stromberg carbs mounted to the side of the Inline-6 engine. A 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive handles gear selection. The car fires on command, runs smooth, and is a pleasure to drive.
Whether driving an English countryside two lane, or cruising to cars and coffee, this is an awesome driver's car! Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
