Car description |

I've owned this car since 2006. In that time I managed to upgrade several things.
This was to be My Car but then I bought a Willys pickup and an MGA. Sadly, this is now for sale.
It has overdrive that quit working last week. My guess is electrical but it's time to go. You'll have to work that out.
I installed new wire wheels and hubs.New tires and tubes last year.Stainless Steel exhaust.New door panels and seat pads and covers.
Correct original Tonneau cover.Original Boot Cover.New convertible top this spring.
Last fall I rebuilt the engine:Bored out .010 and installed over size flat top pistons to bump compression to 9-1.I installed a pre emissions 1296 Camshaft and bearings.
It got a set of SU 1500 carbs from England where they did not have emission laws.A new rocker shaft from Moss with new rockers with bushings honed to a .002 clearance.ARP head bolts and ARP connecting rod bolts. The head was rebuilt with new valve guides and Valve Stem Seals and a few new valves. The last photo shows an inside view of the trunk and signs of collision damage from prior to my ownership.
I drove it around all summer and would trust it to drive to California. It is located in Davisburg MI, halfway between Pontiac and Flint just a couple miles off I-75.
