Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive TR3A in great colors that was cosmetically restored years ago. We just purchased this Roadster from a Connecticut seller who hadn't used the car much during the last 5 years. This car runs very well and can be enjoyed as is in it's comfortable, approachable, used condition. The body on this car is very decent with good fitting panels. During this car's last cosmetic redo, it received a pair of fiberglass front fenders that actually look and fit the car very well. Paintwork is a modest job and is older and mellowed, but still nice and glossy. It's showing some cracking, lifting, touched-up chips, some dings and small dents. It's perfectly fine to leave on this car as a driver. Brightwork is decent to very good overall with a good original windshield. The interior trim tells the same story here. It's older with some use, but is still quite attractive and usable with comfortable vinyl upholstered seats. The rear upholstery appears to be original. The steering wheel is excellent. The car includes a very nice cream colored top boot that needs a few snaps fitted. The tonneau and top need renewing, as they are now on their last leg. Gauges look great and are all the original ones.Mechanically, the car starts easily on the key with good oil pressure and no smoke. The engine is correctly sequenced to the car, as well as the original VIN plate and body tag pair. We are currently fitting some new master cylinders to get the car's hydraulics back up, and will have it soon back driving on the road, so we don't have a road test assessment yet. The previous owner used to drive the car everywhere with good reliability, but only stopped using it because of his age.The car's underside looks quite decent with nothing real alarming. Floors look good as well as inner and outer rockers. There is some weakness towards the rearof the inners that could use some attention on it's next restoration. One body to frame suppport looks a little weak. But everything else looks quite good.Overall, an attractive and pretty TR3A in a nice color scheme. This Triumph has great looks and is good value for lots of fun going forward. Please look at all pictures and call or email with any questions.
