Car description |
---|
1978 Triumph Spitfire. I bought this at the end of last summer from a man who owned it for 13 years and refurbished it with many new parts. I have a zip drive with pics of the work being done.
I rebuilt the carb and fixed the water choke, installed a new exhaust, Hydraulic assist bonnet arms so you can lift with one hand, new plugs, fluid change and carbon filters. I have yet still to install: 4 brand new tires, I bought a wiring in harness in great shape and was going to replace the one on it as it is a little rough, a new turn stalk (one on it works but it not in great shape)...these items and some vintage brochures and misc parts are included. The windows work, but need trim installed.
It is running a little rich and needs to be adjusted a bit and at the end of last year the right rear CV started clicking so I bought a new one but haven't replaced it. I have taken this out for 3-4 hour rides last year with no issues, but now with the CV clicking I would drive it too far. The cars paint and chrome isn't perfect, there are some dings, chips and imperfections in the paint and chrome, but it looks great and gets multiple compliments all the time. Put stabil in at end of year and have started it and ran it about 4 times this year and it started each time with no issue. I do not know if mileage is correct.
This isn't a show car but a great driver around town and a ton of fun, I will have no time this year to enjoy it so it must go.
Buyer arranges and pays all shipping costs. I have the title in hand. Any questions just ask.
