Car description

This 1975 Triumph TR-6 is a stalled restoration that we bought as part of a package 3-4 years ago. The previous owner restored the body and many of the mechanicals. It still requires final assembly and needs to be brought over the finish line. I would say it is 80% of the way there. The TR6 market is strong and the work that has been done has been done to a very high level--done right this car could be worth in the 20,000-30,000 range.
As you can see in the photos below, the car has been painted (although it will require a final wet sand and buff) and has a very solid body and chassis. All of that nasty rust repair that normally accompanies a TR6 restoration has been done.
Although the car has not been driven since we have owned it (obviously) we have verified that the engine, equipped with dual webers, runs and makes good oil pressure.
Many of the miscellaneous parts to complete the restoration are with the car. The new owner will have to source a triumph transmission, that is the only major component we are aware of that is missing.
If it is of interest, we do have a Celica 5-speed with a TR6 conversion kit still in the box from another project that can be purchased separately. In addition, we have a full custom connolly leather and Wilton wool carpet set in peanut butter leather with matching red piping that can also be purchased separately.
The car is available for inspection (and we encourage it) at our classic car restoration and service facility, Oxford Motorcars, which is in East Providence, RI. Although we do not intend to finish this car ourselves while we own it (we have too many customer cars demanding our time)--we would be happy to do so for the new owner if that is of interest.
At the end of the day, this is a unique opportunity for someone who is handy to acquire a restoration with the hard parts (and the expensive parts) finished, requiring just tinkering and assembly.
