Car description

This car's previous owner, a professional mechanic who owns and operates his own shop, completed a full restoration on it in 2014. I have driven the car less than 4000 miles since purchasing it from him in early 2015. The odometer currently shows about 67000 miles, which I believe to be original. The previous owner took great pains to restore the car to as close to stock condition as possible, even going so far as to seek out original-style Michelin X redline tires and tubes for it, which I still have and which will go with the car. In the interests of safety, I have installed a set of Universal brand 185HR15 redline tubeless tires on it and they are virtually new. I also have a three-inch-thick folder of receipts from the restoration as well as all receipts from maintenance and improvements I have done since purchasing it. The only non-stock mods to the car are an alloy valve cover (original stamped steel cover is included), a spin-on oil filter, a fast steering rack, rear springs and adjustable trailing arm brackets from GoodParts to ensure correct rear suspension alignment, and an emergency hood release.

The car is in excellent condition throughout; everything works and it needs nothing. It's kept covered in a heated garage and never goes out in bad weather. The body and frame are straight, there is absolutely no rust anywhere, the chrome is excellent, and it has a high-end paint job in its original Sapphire Blue color. The photos in this ad were taken two days before the ad was posted. This car also has a new-old-stock OEM top and taillight lenses, the impossible-to-find front license plate holder, a 'period-look' AM-FM radio, and a rebuilt overdrive transmission installed last year. The brake master cylinder has just been replaced (with the original unit saved for rebuilding), an oil change with ZDDP oil and a chassis lube have just been done, and the car was professionally detailed in September. Included in the sale are a top boot, a new Robbins full tonneau cover, a California car cover, five service manuals including a factory shop manual, the owner's manual, and a number of spare ignition parts as well as carb rebuilding kits.

This is a solid number 2 condition car that could easily be brought up to condition 1 (concours) standards. Engine and chassis numbers match according to BMIHT records. You won't find a better one at this price. Please contact me at 732-244-2045 or kenkyle4@comcast.net for additional info or photos.
