Car description

Up for sale is a 1970 Triumph GT6+. Vehicle runs and drives as it sits. I would not hesitate to get in it right now and go for a drive. It does not have a/c, as many of these do not, but manually rolling down the windows does the trick. It is a body on frame design that separates it from most other sports cars of its time. The mileage is correct and the odometer is still working.
The carbureted 2.0 liter motor is original and has been mated to a 4-speed transmission. Transmission shifts smoothly into all 4 forward gears, and reverse as well. This model GT6 has the highly desired roto-flex system that incorporated a bushing between the inner and outer axle to allow for smoother rides. In the rear, the suspension has been upgraded to gas shocks that can be adjusted to the owners desired pressure for stiffness and ride height. All 4 tires were replaced 2015 with all seasons so you can take joy ride in any weather. This vehicle was equipped with front disc brakes and drum rear brakes.
The engine has been almost fully serviced to allow you to get in and take it for a spin on a whime. These tasks include: valve adjustment, engine oil and filter (Valvoline VR1 20W50), coolant flush, coolant rubber lines, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap & rotor, distributor condenser and ignition points, front brake hoses, brake master cylinder, front calipers.
The interior has nice clean black carpeting with black felt headliner. The seats are made by a British Company Intatrim. They add a nice side bolstering to the mid-section, but not so tight that it makes it uncomfortable to drive for a couple hours. All gauges work and do light up when headlights are turned on. An oil pressure gauge was added in place of the left vent. The wood trim on the dash is in very good condition. All lights are working.
The only rear issue with this vehicle is the driver's rear fender. As far as I can tell the fender began to show rust, then had some bondo applied and added in a new paint job. During this time it looks like the driver's mirror had been moved to the hood and the holes in the driver's door filled. The frame is rust free and still in original condition and design.
This car really is a blast to drive, even if it is just to the grocery store and back. Unfortunately space has become and issue and I need to part ways. I hope it goes to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have. The original bumpers and seats I have as well. I also have about $800 in new parts and many used parts that will be included with the sale. Feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks!
