1966 Triumph TR4

“NO Reserve Auction” This is a relisting of the Triumph TR4 I ended the auction on early a couple of weeks ago because of an issue with the VIN on the title. VIN issue is now resolved Winning Bid Gets It All.

Odometer has 12310 but I am not sure of the actual mileage

Triumph TR4 Wedgewood Blue (original color) with black interior. Car was built in late 1964 and is titled as a 1966. It is my understanding in the 60’s some British cars were titled in year they were first sold rather the year they were built.

Body removed from frame, and stripped inside and outside and repainted in 2002 - 2004. Previous owner made repairs to both rocker panels and welded small patches in both front fenders near bottom of fender behind wheel well. I welded in a few small patches in the floor boards. Front suspension bushings and shock absorbers replaced (have about 1000 miles on them) and rear shocks refurbished. New front brake caliper hoses. Rear brake drums turned and new shoes. Brake & clutch hydraulic fluids flushed and replaced with in the last month. Except for some surface rust at chips in the paint to my knowledge there is no rust on the frame or body.

Engine has about 20 miles on rebuild. Engine (from TR4A) modifications: Electric cooling fan, Moss Motors 3/8” belt conversion kit, GM one wire alternator, cylinder head surfaced .090”, new harden valves & valve seat for unleaded gas, oil cooler, spin on oil filter adapter, electric fuel pump, British Frame & Engine reground camshaft to specifications close to the Moss Motors Performance Street Cam (can provide specs on request), Tubular exhaust header. New clutch disc. Rebuilt transmission (from TR4A) with late model TR6 J-Type overdrive unit. Car has mid-year MGB dual chamber brake master cylinder. Front brake calipers have stainless steel pistons. Painted wire wheels. Tires & tubes appear to be from 1998. Tonneau cover. Top like new. TR4A seats with white piping. Scissors jack and Rubber knock-offs mallet. Have half quart of the Blue paint. Two pictures are of paint blemishes on the driver’s side rocker panel and lower rear area of the driver’s side front fender.

Spare stock engine (less these items: distributor, temperature sending unit, thermostat, thermostat housing gaskets, oil filter head gasket, 2 small manifold clamps, and possibly some nuts & bolts), (water pump leaks) and non overdrive transmission, both have about 1000 miles on rebuild (with new 87mm piston and sleeves). Bypass, Upper & lower radiator hoses. Spare engine & transmission are from the TR4 listed in this auction. I will send pictures of spare on request

Pair tail light assemblies (one has cracked bezel), Pair defroster vents with hoses, Gas cap, Pair of Air vent box assemblies, Hood latch, Electric fuel pump, 2) voltage regulators, Pair new front brake pads, Fuel sending unit, Assorted gaskets, Rear main seal centering tool, Pressure gauge for overdrive unit. Carburetor balancing tool, TR4A Radiator, Battery hold down bracket, Exhaust manifol, Generator, TR4A steering column assembly, Pair of seat rails, Brake & clutch pedal assembly, Master cylinders mounting bracket, TR4A grille, Heater assembly with hoses, Non overdrive transmission output shaft with drive shaft flange, Non overdrive transmission tail housing with mounting bracket, Transmission top cover.
