1960 Triumph TR3A Roadster, erial number T568530L. The TR3A was updated with various changes including a full width radiator grille, ockable boot handle, aised stampings under the bonnet and boot hinges and under the exterior door handles, s well as a redesigned rear floor section. This facelifted model was commonly referred to as the Triumph "TR3A". However the cars were not badged as such and the "TR3A" name was not used officially, s is evident from contemporary sales brochures. The "TR3A" was built between 1957 and 1962.
This 1960 Triumph TR3A is in very good condition and has been very well maintained. The 1991cc engine runs very well and transfers all of its power through a 4-speed overdrive manual transmission. This is a real barn find wherein the barn actually burned with the car in it. The car suffered smoke damage and paint blistering on otherwise a very nice solid original car. The factory steel wheels have 165-15 Michelin XZX's tires and look basically brand new. This is a very comfortable and fun car to drive. This TR3A is perfect for a weekend cruise or will make a great conversation piece at any car show.
The Triumph TR3 was the first production car to include standard disc brakes, hich were continued on the "TR3A" facelift. The car was known for its superior braking ability, aking it an autocross favorite.
It is estimated that only 9,500 of the original 58,000 built survive in the world today.
