I am selling my Clean Title 1985 Corolla GTS AE86 with all OEM JDM Levin front end conversion. The car is an award winning Two times 2nd place winner at 2017 JCCS & 2011 All TOYOTAFEST, Long Beach, CA.In March 2010 I purchased a front end & rear quarter damaged original paint 1985 Red Corolla GT, Clean Title with low 33K miles from Michigan. This non sunroof AE86 had good doors, great condition rear hatch door, a healthy low mileage engine, manual transmission & near perfect full red interior. I purchased the car and shipped it back to California. This red AE86 became my donor car for the car that is for sale right now. In June 2010 I purchased another 1985 Silver Corolla GTS Non Sunroof Clean Title, No accident & No damage reported based on Carfax history that shows Southern California’s Car since new. There was mileage inconsistency report on Carfax in 2005 from 157K miles to 148K miles in 2008. This silver Corolla GTS is the car that was restored into the Levin which I am offering for sale. I restored the Silver AE86 with majority parts coming from the donor Red AE86.With the goal to build a nice AE86, I sourced most OEM NOS Toyota parts in the USA (some of the parts were the last new ones in the country) and some parts from Australia, Europe & Japan. Those NOS OEM parts include all complete Levin lights, grill, bumper supports, front spoiler, radiator supports upper & bottom, pair of inner fenders, radiator fan & hoses, water pump, fan clutch, timing belt, tensioner, thermostat, radiator & cap, brakes, AC condenser, tie rods, steering rack & multiple bolts. Good quality used parts include the JDM Levin metal hood, fenders & bumpers (new parts no longer exist at the time to my knowledge). I replaced both upper & bottom radiator supports cause the upper support was cut by the previous owner when removing the engine & bottom support showed some minor dents. ( Photos documented before & during restoration process ) I painted the silver AE86 to factory red inside & out, complete to match the donors doors & hatch. I kept most of the original paint on both doors & hatch along with factory decals from the donor car. We swapped all original glass, complete interiors, engine, transmission, drive train & wirings from the donor car. After market parts such as TRD spark plug wires, RSR springs, Tokico shocks, HKS Cat Back Exhaust, Exedy clutch, VOLK Rays TE37 wheels & Falken tires, Pioneer head unit & Orion speakers were installed during this restoration. When we finished the restoration, this AE86 passed SMOG on November 2010 with 33,974 miles. ( Carfax show mileage inconsistency) Currently show 39K miles on the odometer.During my 10 year of ownership after restoration, I drove it to couple trip in central California coast. It was enjoyable to drive. I swapped the transmission with my spare one due to harder to shift into 2nd gear. Originally this Levin was built with all full Zenki version lights & grill, but in one of my trip my fully restored Zenki headlight from Australia was damaged due to rock chip. These headlight & grill were not available anymore. I decided to swap headlights & grill set to new Kouki version from Europe. This AE86 drives incredibly smooth, healthy, no oil leaks and has always passed smog. Power mirrors work perfectly and AC blows cold. Near perfect interiors, all seats & door panels that are almost impossible to find in this condition anywhere. In one of the photos, I pointed a small tear on the dashboard at the passenger side above the glove box door. This imperfection can be easily covered by decal or emblem. Please review photos & I will provide more photos to serious buyers upon request .I am selling the car due to limited space. Thank you for looking.
