They should have called these the "Indestructible", but instead Toyota just simply gave these little haulers the humble "pickup" name. But no matter what you call it, you get excited when you can find a fine example like this 1986 Toyota that's so well preserved, and it has features like fuel injection and four-wheel drive.
You likely already know this truck well. It was the vehicle that got you through school and/or never gave up on the jobsite. But the best part is the preserved condition of this example. The cream color paint is original, and it radiates the kind of gloss and shine that tells you that this has led a comfortable life. Even the decal stripes are believed to be original. And you can really see someone respected this truck. The sheetmetal has an amazing fit and finish after nearly 35 years. So while that long bed may have you thinking about all the extra chores you can tackle, you should put down a liner first: this is a tough truck, but it has also earned a ton of respect.
Inside, the two-tone cloth bench looks great and provides plenty of comfort. Plus, with the fold down center, individual bolstering, and individual recline, they feel more like buckets. The door panels, dash, and floor all are in coordinating shades of brown/tan, and so the whole interior feels like a well-done time capsule. Everything is correct, right down to the AM/FM cassette and digital clock in this survivor truck. Plus, while there are provisions for air conditioning, the sliding rear glass and side vent windows provide the ideal breeze through the cab that you want in a classic truck like this.
The miles are believed to be actual on this truck, and so it has averaged under 2,500 annually. That's how everything looks so crisp, clean, and preserved - including in the engine bay. This is what's believed to be the original 2.4-liter 22R motor, and those who know Toyotas understand that this is one of the hardiest motors around. In fact, it's so clean, you'll proudly show it off to everyone! The advantage of fuel-injection means this one fires up with an eagerness that reaffirms the everlasting nature of a well-maintained Toyota truck. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case, tall 4x4 stance, and Toyo Open Country tires means this continues a go-anywhere reputation. And when that just means running to the shops, you also have the ease of a power brakes w/discs up front and a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive.
A survivor like this needs the right paperwork, and so the sale comes with the original window sticker, owner's manual, and maintenance records. You already know how great these Toyotas are, so don't miss your opportunity at such a well-preserved example. Call today!!!
