OK, so here we go .99 cents to start the bidding on this legend. I got this car around this time last year or a little before. I've always wanted and land cruiser and made my move. I saw the "Dif Lockers" and thought, sweet, but I brought the car on COPART, sight unseen. I've been buying from them for years now and it's never failed me. This one hasn't either, but I'm giving up on it now. I wrote up my story over on the IH8 Mud forumshttps://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/hello-all-wish-me-luck-1994-fzj80.1126728/ and I got a lot of great feed back. Do yourself a favor, I have a lot of pictures on there so take a look and also see what others have said. If you haven't signed up, do so (especiallyif you plan on buying this one, they'll help a lot). The car starts up EVERY TIME, I disconnect the battery terminal just to save it in between starts. I wanted to give this to my brother but he's moved on to a better deal of a car. I have taken the car on the road, maybe 2 blocks and i can tell you it's sluggish ( but it has no o2 sensors) also I can't really floor it as the break line is rotted out and lets just say it doesn't stop on a dime. She will break but I wouldn't trust it. You can drive it straight onto a trailer or once you sign over a bill of sale and take title you can drive it straightin the rear end of someone. The line is rotted on the drivers side engine compartment where it meets the frame, a little bit of a hard spot to get to. I would have done it by now but, if i'm being honest, I don't have the time the care or the money. Bid and take it away, since it has a PA title you can take it to a trusted repair shop, they can give you a piece of paper saying it's fixed (repaired by them) and you'll get your PA Rebuild abletitle in the mail. I can possibly help with that if you are in the Philadelphiaarea. Again, I really can't believethe price of these trucks, so bid to win and good luck.
OH YEA, 4x4 does work Hi and Low. When trying to engage the dif locks the lights on the dash blink and never really stay lit, BUT then again I CAN NOT put it in a position where it would be able to engage as I don't trust driving this car with breaks in the condition that it is. IF the breaks were fixed and you can put this thing in some sand, they just might engage. I've had the car idle for like 40 minutes and temp is always fine. Will need some work or just strip if for what you need, that is completelyup to you.
I will let this auction ride until the end, I honestly will end up losing because even if it ends for what I paid for it, I have to pay for the garage where it's been stored for this whole year and I'll also lose out on not being able to own one again, possibly ever. Good luck
