Car description

We are offering this exceptional, ORIGINAL OWNER, 1990 Toyota standard cab 2WD pickup truck equipped with the original 22R engine – arguably the best engine that Toyota has ever offered - and factory 4-speed transmission.

This is absolutely the nicest, all-original 1990 Toyota pickup you will ever find. The original owner would like it to go to someone who truly appreciates it. You decide if that person is you.

The odometer now indicates 52,730 miles, but the speedometer was replaced several years ago when the original speedometer failed. The actual mileage is about 200k miles and she still runs like a top and passes smog like a new truck.

Factory white exterior with all-original paint – this beauty has never been wrecked, has never had ANY body damage and has never been repainted. It’s still really nice.

The factory grey vinyl interior is in excellent condition with the exception of the seat, which needs recovering (the original vinyl was probably never intended to last thirty years…..). Door panels, dash and floor covering are in excellent condition.

The original owner always kept this beauty in the garage until recently, when it was replaced by a brand-new Toyota pickup. The owner would like to see her sleeping inside a clean, cozy garage once again. How about yours?

The following ‘factory’ Toyota options were purchased and added shortly after purchase:

Factory air conditioning system

Factory clock

Factory bedliner

Factory radio

Along with those options, a Smittybilt heavy-duty rear tube bumper with 2” hitch receiver and a U.S.-made cross-bed aluminum toolbox were purchased and installed shortly after purchase.

All factory-scheduled service and maintenance has been performed as scheduled with oil and filter changes every 2,800-3,000 miles. And the owner will include those service records, along with a set of hard-to-find, like-new FACTORY TOYOTA SERVICE MANUALS for the proud, new owner of this beautiful truck.

Aside from scheduled maintenance, the following items have been replaced (using OEM Toyota parts, where available) along the way:

Radiator

Thermostat

Water pump

Complete clutch assembly

Alternator

Air pump

Fuel pump

Speedometer and speedometer gear

New factory starter motor

Somewhat recently (about 35k miles ago) the following items were replaced:

New carburetor (brand new - not rebuilt)

Complete rebuild of front suspension

And a little more recently, the truck received:

(5) new Hankook Optimo mid-grade tires (including the spare)

New A/C compressor

New front wheel bearings

New premium front disc pads

Front disc rotors re-surfaced

New front brake hoses

And even more recently (within the past six months):

Complete rear differential was rebuilt due to leaking axle seals

(this included new bearings, new oil seals and new rear brake shoes)

New premium battery was installed

The carburetor was adjusted

There are only two items that still need attention:

The vinyl seat cover is worn and needs to be replaced. The seat is covered with a blanket now and is still presentable as it is.

The original silver paint on the factory rims has weathered and the black primer is showing thru. Paint or powdercoat - your choice. We’ll let the new owner decide.

While we have included 24 hi-definition photos, we have about twenty more and are willing to get you additional pics of any specific area you would like to see. No picture collectors, please.

All right, who is going to be the lucky new owner?

Feel free to email any questions and we’ll do our best to answer them quickly.

Note that this truck is being cross-listed via several different online venues, as well as being advertised locally. We reserve the right to cancel any and all bids and end the listing at any time.
