Made in June 1986, the truck’s original owner, a Daniel H. of Arvada Colorado, took delivery on July 12, 1986 from Douglas Toyota in Denver, Colorado with five miles on the odometer. The Toyota was originally Colorado owned for a long period of time and was always covered and garaged. Since then, this truck has been completely restored recently by the same gentleman in California who restored our exquisite 1981 white 4x4 Toyota pickup we sold last spring and this truck is also nothing but exceptional! All genuine parts were used during its rotisserie restoration and the truck has been slightly lifted and matched with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A 31" tires since restored.Finished in correct gray (code 138), the exterior is in overall excellent condition, as are the original windows and lights. The truck’s bodywork is solid and straight, the engine bay is extremely tidy and the original cargo area looks fantastic. The original bed is in excellent condition because the truck had a camper shell and bed carpet installed since new. The bedliner is great shape, with period-correct chrome roll bar with KC Daylighter overhead lights, matching covers and factory decals. There are factory mud flaps and a sliding rear cab window. The factory battery underhood is in very good order, the chrome grille and bumpers, including rear step bumper, are in very good order. This truck rolls on BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, size 31x10.50R15LT at every corner. Each tire is mounted to an Ultra alloy wheel. All the wheels and tires on this truck are in very excellent order.Under the prop-mounted hood is a matching-numbers Toyota’s 2.4L SOHC four-cylinder engine (code 22R). Backing this motor is a five-speed manual transmission (code G52) with a two-speed transfer case and a 4.10:1 rear end (code G292). Driver convenience features include power steering and brakes. Inside, the all-original gray vinyl interior (code VZ11) is in overall very good condition. The original bench seat looks excellent while the matching gray carpet is in very good order. There’s a two-spoke steering wheel that is in great shape, as are the instrument panel and inner door liners. The floor-mounted shifter and transfer case lever. Amazingly, the factory AM/FM stereo with cassette deck and a seven-band graphic equalizer rounds out the interior. The solid front axle was swapped out for an independent front suspension/torsion bar setup in the 4×4 model in 1986, and optional automatic differential disconnect for the front differential (an alternative to automatic locking hubs). Documentation includes original owner’s manual, original owner’s guide and original off-road supplement.Competition to this Toyota in 1986 was Chevrolet’s S-10 4x4, Dodge’s D50 4x4, Ford’s Ranger 4x4, GMC’s S-15 4x4, Mazda’s B2000 4x4, Mitsubishi’s Mighty Max 4x4 and Nissan’s Hardbody 4x4 Pickup. These Toyota pickups ruled the small truck market during the mid-1980s, especially on the west coast. If you had one as your first vehicle or you had posters of one on your bedroom walls, then you need to stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars to check out this truck today to renew your acquaintance!VIN: JT4RN64D4G5037395 This truck is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri.
