Description
1990 Toyota Camry WAGON v6.I've had this wagon for about 4 years. 3rd owner. It has been fun, but I barely drive it and it's time to release it back into the wild before I do some traveling in November!
The good:
It runs. It's a wagon. New alternator. Has been pretty reliable over the years. Yokohama tires are about 3 years old. Although the odometer reads 270XXX, this car has a 2nd rebuilt engine put in. I'd estimate this 2nd engine has around 95,000 miles.
The bad: This car is old! Pretty much anything plastic is warped a bit.
The driver's side window does not go down - I think its a faulty switch on the window panel on the driver's door. AC does barely gets cold.
The windshield wipers stopped working recently. It may be an easy fix but unsure?
The rear right passenger door is stuck.
If you park for more than 14 days, something in the car drains the battery. Unsure how to diagnose and this hasn't changed with a new alternator.
It may have coolant leaks. It often needs coolant and oil.
Smog: I'm unsure if it will pass CA emissions. But my certificate is good until November 2, 2019.
It's an old car so perhaps this is best suited for a Toyota loving mechanic or someone who wants to part it out or do something interesting with it.
