Car description

This is a 1969 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. It is a project. It is not complete. It is missing parts. It does not drive now. In fact it has no front seats so it would be a rough ride if you could. But it is an Arizona rustfree FJ40. It is pretty much stock. No V8s, No lift kits to the Moon No cut wheel wells to stuff mudders in there. Even the rear wheelwells still have the inner lips that guys ausually cut or vicegrip to death. The drivers floorpan has been cut out and replaced with flat non stock metal. But other than that, you will be hard pressed to find a nicer tub and frame. No rust in the rear corners, no rust below the barn doors, no rust on rear floors, no rust on inner or outer rockers. The rear barn doors and spare tire mount are beauties. The inner rear floor and most of the tub interior has been lightly coated with something like rhino coating. . No rust on the frame..It is along time sitting Cruiser. The fellow I got it from had done the green paint over the original factory paint below. While it looks nice from 10 feet away, up close it does not. Overspray, runs, needed more prep work before paint. But it is what it is. Rustfree Arizona tub and frame trumps bad paint everyday of the week. There is some kind of roll bar windshield set up. But I have the stock factory windshield with wipers, mirror but no glass to replace that. And a set of rustfree lower doors that need some work, also the heater core, skid plate and a milk crate of small parts.Which has sme taillights, lens, wiring, etc in thereThe odometer shows like 57,224 miles or so. No clue if original, but if I was betting man, I would say it is.We fired the engine up and it ran fine. Though loud as there is no muffler. Did a compression check and got mostly around 100psi straight across.. But I think with some runtime, it will improve. The hydraulics are down from sitting so long, so no brakes or clutch now so no driving now. Before I start doing much to this, I am going to sell it as is and let the next person get it up and driving again. It will not take much. All wheels turn fine, the front lockouts turn out and in easily. Everything looks complete in the drivetrain department. No signs of major leaks or any kind of damage.. The front right frame extension from the bib to the bumper looks tweeked down a bit .And the left side has been cut and welded right behind the bumper. It has a tow bar mount on a non stock front bullet proof bumper. Not sure if being towed did that sometime or other, but it is there. There are 2 new front spring brackets included. The rest of the frame is a beauty.Overall this will be a great Cruiser to work with. Probably as rustfree as is out there. And that is getting harder to say as every day goes by.Clean straight title.I travel around mostly the West Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. I can arrange shipping to Long Beach California shippers for export for $300 no problem. Old Land Cruisers are getting harder and harder to get in any shape these days. .No bidders with less than 10 feedback unless you contact me first. No games. No bid then have to ask the wife. Basically no BS.Go play somewhere else.
