For sale Toyota Landcruiser FJ40I offer my Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, built in 1973.In March 2016, the car was imported from Texas, the rust-free and damage-free chassis of the FJ40 was the basis for a total restoration that lasted 2.5 years.The car has been separated to the last bolt and nut, see pictures. Activities:- Chassis blasted and coated- All parts were blasted and, where possible, provided with a powder coating- Front and rear axle completely dismantled, all bearings and seals have been replaced- Original front seats have been replaced with Volvo V70 leather seats with headrest. Seat heating connected and working left and right in two positions The original seats are still present and in good condition.The original rear seats have been replaced.- Unique original winch that is driven by the gearbox. This winch is very rare and a wanted item on Ebay.- The 3-speed gearbox has been replaced by a refurbished 4-speed gearbox.This is quieter and you make no mistake; With the original 3-speed gearbox, the reverse is where the first gear is in a normal switch car.- The front wheels are equipped with freewheel hubs.- Because the car was completely in parts, a gas tank and a hydraulic power steering could be fitted.- The old ignition has been replaced by a new DUI ignition which makes the engine run perfectly. The original wheels with new tires are present.- Part of the lighting is LED, the original lamps are still present.- The Toyota can be made completely original with little work (dashboard, lighting, front seats and wheels.- Old-timer declaration available, the Toyota is road tax-free.
After restoration I drove about 1,000 kilometers by car to solve all 'teething problems'. The car is now running well and everything is functioning as it should.
