Car description |

This is being sold as a restoration project.
This 1984 Toyota Tercel SR5 Wagon Toyota was originally an Oregon car. Nearly rust free at the time. The last 8 years it has been in Connecticut, and although it has only be driven part time over the years, mostly to the lake a few miles away, it has been effected by New England weather.
THE GOOD - is it still RUNS and DRIVES! Hood and Tailgate are in Good/Fair shape
The BAD - The door panels and front seats were ripped up by the previous owners dog. (left in the car). Anyway...I do have door panels and some other parts, i.e. taillight trim etc. That will come with the car, as well as a very useful service manual. The front seats have been covered.
The FL door needs a window regulator. The RR door sags when you open it - (always did... hinges maybe?)
The pictures document its condition fairly well. After the RR door panel picture.... I started at the FL wheel well (both front wheel wells have rust (but still repairable). Then moved around the back of the car ending at the FR wheel well.Pictures are as follows:FL wheel wellDrivers side lower door edgeRL quarter panel (worst of all)RR quarter panelRight side rockerRight side door edgeFR wheel wellSunroof
Exhaust from Manifold back need to be replaced. There is rust underneath more towards the back then the front.(leaks a little oil from from valve covers and crank) kept it from rustingNeeds wheel cylinder on FRTranny mount is worn need to be replaced
Sunroof has never opened, although the motor works... the tracking is the issue. Will leak unless you use flex seal tape or silicone until fixed.(kept in garage)
Motor runs well. New battery, Ignition coil, and plugs. Radiator was replaced about 4 years ago.As well as the timing belt (couple other belts too as I recall)
Tires are ok but older, and should be replaced, They are 13 inch
I have tried to be open and thorough with my explanations. But this is a project...but a running and driving one. (you don't always get those!)
This one is can still be saved, but needs love and a desire to own one of the great Toyota's of all time. The 4WD still works fine and the motor starts and runs well. This Toyota is being sold "AS IS" with no warranty expressed or implied. Pickup is the responsibility of the buyer, But I could possibly arrange delivery on a local only basis.
Starting bid is the minimum I will take for the car. My other profile is under the name gchisatchmo if you need reference. If you have questions ask....Good Luck Bidding!
