Car description

Up for sale is my 1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo, in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. I have owned it since 2015 and have decided to move on to something else (not exactly sure what that is yet, however). Originally an NA, I decided to swap it last year for a Gen5 3SGTE turbo. So while the body has a little over 203k, the actual engine is around 50k miles old. The entire upgrade was professionally done by TCS Motorsports, one of the few (possibly only) shops in the US that can do a proper Gen5 install.
Here is a rundown of the upgrades on this car.
  • Gen5 engine/wiring harness/ECU
  • South Bend Clutch
  • Walbro Fuel Pump
  • New fuel tank
  • 3" dual exhaust system
  • TCS seal package (timing belt, water pump, cam seals, front/rear main seals, thermostat, CV axle seals)
  • TCS Gen5 fuel line kit
  • TCS downpipe
  • TCS air intake kit
  • Gen5 intercooler kit
  • New valve cover gaskets
  • New front tie rod ends (replaced around 201k)
  • New front ball joints (replaced around 201k)
  • New front stabilizer/sway bar links (201k)
  • Yokohama S. Drive 90W 235/40/R17 tires (rears have less than 1000 miles on them)
So yeah. Tons of updates and the car is a BLAST to drive. I was not prepared for how quick the Gen5 turbo would be! Everything else works as it should...the stereo is original and the CD skips on even the slightest bumps, but most of the time I have a cassette-auxiliary adapter in it anyways. Paint is near flawless. There are a few small bubble spots around the bottom of the driver door and rear wheel well, but no rust. Always garaged and never driven in the winter. Well, there was one time where I took it out for a sunny spring drive and the temperature literally dropped 30 degrees within a couple hours, catching me in a surprise snowstorm. I do live in Cleveland after all.
