Car description |
---|
This is a great 1978 Land Cruiser FJ 45 that has been recently painted. The truck is in great condition with new tires, air conditioning A/C converted to R134, power steering, and brakes. It has the original inline six cylinder 2F engine (257 cubic inch) and 80,xxx miles shown on the odometer. It has a locking center console that can also house a stereo if you would like to install one. The carb has been upgraded to a Weber for better performance and reliability. The interior is in near pristine condition. The bed has been professionally coated with Rhino Liner. All window seals and door gaskets were recently replaced. The A/C was converted to R134 which can be bought off the shelf unlike the old R12 stuff. The compressor and all hoses of the AC system were rebuilt in 2016. The tires are matching Nexen Roadian MT Radial 35x10.5R15LT 109Q.
The FJ-45 was painted by M4 Motorsports in San Antonio, Texas last year. It originally had a white top and color matched running boards. These were changed to black when it was painted. The tan was original to the car when I purchased it.
This is a former Cool Cruisers of Texas FJ that was previously an FJ40 and was converted to an FJ45 using a period correct Hilux bed. This work was done back in the 90's and has held up extremely well. There is actually a photo of this truck on the Cool Cruisers webpage from when they used to sell restored FJs. This is a great way to get into an FJ45 and not spend $45,000.
This truck has always been garaged.
