Car description |
---|
- Costa Rican import, so actual mileage unknown, odometer shows 72,430 km.
- Why selling: Donating entire sale price to my church.
- Condition: solid underneath, scattered cosmetic issues on body
- Mechanical: In the three years since import, the following repairs have been done at a large Toyota dealership service dept, by a Toyota certified senior mechanic, with new or reconditioned Toyota parts: transmission, transfer case, front hub, clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel, front and rear third members, axle seals, front differential, repacked wheel bearings and axle joints; new front and rear brakes and drums, wheel cylinder, master cylinder; all new seals, gaskets and fluids for the previous. Radiator fully serviced. New fuel tank sender. New battery, Oil and filter. New seat belts. New windshield washer kit. Serviced steering column, new bushing. New OEM spare wheel, new spare tire. Installed engine block heater.
- Engine: As is common in Costa Rica, the electric start solenoid was replaced with a manual fuel shut off on the dash. This contributes to a very smoky start up- runs without smoke when fully warmed up. Serviced at diesel repair shop, who replaced primer pump, and glow plugs. The transfer pump, fuel filter, and all fuel injectors were rebuilt(with new nozzles). Cylinder compressions were 360-380 psi #1, and 360 psi for #'s 2,3,and 4. Gets 22 mpg.
- Body/ glass: good rubber
- Glass with fine scratches
- Painted Toyota metallic gray(originally a light blue gray) 3 years ago, but poor paint prep so paint has lifted on passenger door. Bubbles on drivers side rear door.
- Dash trim needs to be redone.
- After market wheels; tires old.
