Frame and underbody sandblasted, painted, and undercoated few years ago. Just completed sandblasting complete body and hardtop. Was primed with NASON 2k self etching primer to prevent rust, then painted Toyota 'rustic green' with a polyurethane tintable bedliner using a very fine texture for off-road durability. I have received tons of complements on this paint job and lots of questions about how I did it. It is definitely a 'head turner'. 2F motor was professionally machined and rebuilt by Kustom Machine Shop in Denison, Texas. Very reputable shop. Brand new stock camshaft and lifters, new heavy duty clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. All bearings and seals and timing components. Whole motor was professionally machined. Has very good compression. Oil pressure 60 PSI at start-up. Brand new GM 4.3 TBI set-up with new PAINLESS wiring harness. $2500 invested. Electronic distributor. Never adjust points or carburetor again. New tie rods, Bilstein shocks, stabilizer, alignment, u-joints, u-bolt skid plates, axle and wheel bearings, parking brake shoes, water pump, heavy duty fan clutch, OEM fan blade, muffler, mirrors, motor mounts, body weather strip, fuse box and cover and roof rack. Transmission and transfer case seals and gaskets replaced from SOR. No leaks. New 3rd member installed in rear axle. Steering gear box rebuilt, no leaks. Steering knuckles and WARN lock-out hubs completely rebuilt from SOR. New front disc brakes and re-surfaced rotors from SOR. New 16.4 gallon gas tank from CCOT and new 22 gallon auxiliary gas tank from SOR gives you a 38.4 gallon reserve. You would have to carry 4- 5 gallon gas tanks somewhere on vehicle to have this much reserve. Front windshield, side glass, rear corner curved glass and all glass gaskets are new, except for door glass. Wing windows were sandblasted a little. Door seals are like new. VERY nice front seats on original fj40 seat brackets. Reconditioned jump seats. Very smooth ride and 4wd works great. Custom front bumper with WARN 8274 8000# winch. The emissions have been removed. I also have a stock AC unit for this fj40 that you can have but I don't have the compressor. I've had this cruiser since 1986 and am selling as I'd like to find a "Troopy" land cruiser.
