Car description |

I am the second owner of this beautiful USA model 1983 FJ40. It was purchased as a barn find with a legit 79K odometer reading by records maintained by the original owner. I drove it for a period of time after getting it mechanically on the road with OEM replacement parts including hoses, belts, clamps, tie rods, etc. A new gas tank, filler hose, fuel pump, filter and reconditioned OEM fuel lines ensure clean fuel in the professionally rebuilt OEM carburetor. New brake pads and shoes, as well as lines were installed. Old Man Emu springs and shackles were installed, as were new shocks. New front and rear turn signals installed, and all electronics and gauges work, as well as the aggravating seat belt buzzer and cigarette lighter. Dome light, wipers, horn, etc all work. Everything works.
The dash is beautiful, the seat belts are all good, jump seats are original. I don't drive the truck much, and don't have the original front floormats installed, but the complete set is intact and in great condition. The OEM safety straps are in great shape as well. The truck comes with a perfect running drive train with what is now 85K miles. I had the PS box rebuilt and had a new OEM PS pump installed as well after a 600 mile trip to the Carolina Relic Rally in July 2017. I have an 82 FJ40 that is my daily driver, and the 83 has become a garage queen.
It's got the chrome wheels w brand new Interco 33x9.5's on all four rims, and a set of OEM white rims are on a shelf for the next owner. Items that could simply be unbolted were, and powder coated including the rain splash guards, skid plates, air filter housing, battery tray support, valve cover, charcoal canister support, radiator shield and support, fuel tank guard and straps, filler hose shield, roll bar, leaf spring plates, etc. New ambulance door lock and handles, front bumper and bumperettes, and windshield gasket and wiper blades make this truck look new. Front and rear heater cores and lines were flushed, all work as they should. The front grey seat bottoms were deteriorated. I acquired a nice set of bottom seat covers and the backrests from a tan 60 series. I removed the OEM grey backs, which go with the truck, and installed the fj60 seat covers to match the tan interior. The original fj40 seat frames bottoms are covered with the 60 cloth. The truck has vent windows and PS, no AC.The headliner has a stain about an inch in diameter. It as shown in the pics. The truck was disassembled, glass out, fenders off, top off, in late 2016-early 2017 and repainted original color code 464 using metal where necessary from a late model donor truck. OEM floors, tub, fenders, etc. Original ignition key and two duplicate copies. The truck has NO RUST... All metal. $500.00 deposit within 48 hours. Balance via certified funds or cash within 10 days at end of auction.I'm trying to input a photobucket album and will do so when I learn how..Thanks On Apr-20-18 at 13:49:31 PDT, seller added the following information:

I mistakenly input 85,177. It's 87,177... It may end up being 87,200 or so.. I drive it to get coffee on the weekends...
