Car description

Someone buy this before I change my mind!

1986 Toyota pickup. DUAL FUEL. Gasoline and Propane. Propane is complete and functional, but propane inspection is not current. Propane works, but I would recommend new rubber hoses. Tank looks fine. Check your state's laws regarding propane vehicles. I bought this pickup from the State of Texas. It spent its life at a state mental hospital facility maintenance dept., running around approx. 10 acres, with occasional trip to town as parts runner.Same old story: Too many projects. Imjust never going to get to this one.

THE GOOD. R22 Motor, auto trans. 114k miles. Runs, shift, stops fine. has old gas in the tank, should be drained before driving. Dual fue, was running at least half the time on propane (that was the state trying to be "green"), so motor is probably very clean .

Body is rust free, always been in Texas. I was going to remove body, and install rat rod body. Original paint scratches you would expect on a work truck. No major dents.

Interior: Cracked dash, not bad seat for a work truck. NO A/C. NO radio. THIS IS A BASE MODEL.

THE BAD: She's been sitting. Tires have good tread, but truck has been sitting in the weather. So tires are a maybe. Gasoline is old, tank should be drained. Propane tank is near empty.

OTHER:

I have clear title from the state. I never put it in my name, because in Texas you have to show proof of insurance to change title, and I wasn't ready to insure it. Picture of motor is today, with engine running, on starter fluid. I have seen it run on either fuel. NO,this is not a flood vehicle. Texas is a huge state. Truck was approx. 500 miles from the coast. No, You cant drive it home to New York, as is. Its a project. I personally removed driveshaft and used tow bar to get it home, pulling it like a trailer. If you have zero feedback, do not bid. If you have questions, ask before bidding.Im here to sell my truck, not play games. Expect same.
