1975 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40
This Land Cruiser was purchased from an estate last year. It has a production date of June of 1975 and was last registered with the state in 2014. I purchased with the intent of doing a restoration, but have recently bought an FJ62 and do not need two FJ40's.
Exterior:The body tub is solid showing a few signs of surface rust, but no bubbling or rust through areas. Front and rear floor pans, rear sill, and quarter panels are solid. According to the information I received, the previous owner was going to do a camouflage paint scheme due to the paint cans inside. The body is spray painted in a base sand color, but the original color was Toyota Rustic Green . It comes with a complete hardtop as shown. The front and back doors are solid, but do have rust on the bottom. Frame has no visible issues.
Interior:Factory bucket seats in the front with rear jump seats. Roll bar, dash controls, gauges, lights are all present. That is the best part about this cruiser, it is all complete.
Mechanical:Cruiser has the original 2F engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. The exhaust has been removed and appears the manifold has been off. I assume to replace the gasket. Fuel tank appears to be new. The Cruiser runs, drives, shifts, and stops. I believe you could add exhaust to this cruiser and drive it. It fires right up and runs like a sewing machine. Just like a Cruiser should.
All in all, I believe this Cruiser is a great candidate for a full restoration (everything is there) or if someone just wanted to add exhaust, it can be a driver.
If you have any questions or would like to see the Cruiser in person, just let me know. Thanks and good luck.
