Car description

1985 Toyota 4runner, 145k, 22re, automatic
I bought this last fall to get me through the snow and it has done that. I had plans to make it a trail rig but wifey says no.When I bought it I replaced the timing chain and components, water pump, oil pump, and drive belts. I rebuilt the drag link, replaced front pads and calipers, and all four shocks. I also put on new 31x10.5x15 general grabber at2's which only have a couple thousand miles on them now.As you can see it's very rusty, but I have looked over the frame and could not find any issues. It has been my daily driver since last November. It's bouncy and slow but runs and drives straight with no vibrations or pull. It does have a solid front axle, manual hubs, and 4wd works as it should. Has 4.30 gears I think. The automatic transmission works but shifts a bit funky sometimes. I adjusted the kickdown cable and it seemed to help. The engine runs good and will get you around, however the exhaust manifold has leaked since I got it. The rear window works most of the time, rear wiper operates and seats but doesn't hold against glass. Heat works, has a/c but never tried it. Drivers window needs a regulator, factory radio turns on but no sound, brights and horn don't work. Interior is in decent shape and the seats are actually pretty nice. I've never had the top off.So in summary it's a running and driving solid axle Toyota that has a lot of rust but is structurally sound. If it were clean with no issues it would be worth 5-10k. The reserve is a fraction of that. The solid axles go for 500, the 4.30 gears are desirable. This would be a good starting point for a trail rig or there are a lot of good donor parts.I try to be as honest as possible when selling anything and have described the vehicle to the best of my knowledge. That being said...sold as is with a clean Illinois title. The vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
