Car description |

This truck is a Double cab, Toyota Hilux SSR 1989 model, legal and left hand drive.
Truck has a professional swap of a 1KZ-TE Turbo diesel engine out of a 2001 Toyota Hilux and matching 5 speed manual transmission in which replaced the 2.8 Liter NA Diesel engine. Has rear locking differential.
For sale I have a very unique and amazing truck for sale. Dubbed one of the most indestructible trucks in the world and proven time and time again.
I purchased this truck a few years ago and its been a passion of mine ever since, I am selling it only to buy another truck similar but $80,000.
This truck gets absolutely amazing fuel economy, great power and amazing capabilities.
Specs on the truck:
-1989 Solid front and rear axle truck from the factory
-Model LN106
-Manual transmission, manual locking hubs
-Swapped in Intercooled 1kz-TE Turbo diesel engine (about 150HP & 250lbs of torque)
-Left hand drive (converted from right hand via firewall swap and new steering equipment)
-New clutch, 5 speed manual from the imported half cut for the 1kz swap
-Rear axle is from a 2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD with electric locking rear differential. (not wired up but easily done)
- has the amazingly cool bed with the hooks and raised "TOYOTA" on the tail gate.
-Imported from ARB a ARB front winch bumper with 8000lbs winch from WARN. (winch hand held controller was lost and can be purchased from WARN)
-CD player, Optima battery
-NEW** BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires I believe they are 33 inch, I will double check if someone asks. They have about 500 miles on them and one off road adventure only and let me say they work amazing!!
-Interior is roll up windows, that's crank windows and the front glove box is taken up by the ECU which the truck didn't originally have with the previous motor.
-4.10 axle ration front and back, no rust on this frame AT ALL and its coated with POR15 which is over $100 a gallon, I used 2 gallons on the suspension and truck to save it from rust.
-Its been driven one winter so it has some rust on it on the bed, rear quarters, and one cab corner and a little starting on the bottom of the doors. I will get all of this fixed if interested for $3400 using all metal and making the truck perfect again. I have already had 3 quotes from various locations in person.
-The truck has ample power and with these tires its getting 23 MPG. With smaller or less agressive tires its capable of 28 MPG.
-Snorkel fender remains unpainted.
-Has a functional snorkel which is used for water crossings. I have never been very deep with this truck although its one of the best water crossing vehicles in the world.
-In the painstaking 1KZ-TE Turbo swap the factory matching Odometer cluster was used so it fits well and I don't notice it anymore but a new owner may notice it isn't factory fitting perfect in its bezel.
-Small tear in rear seat from my dog when he was a puppy. Text me if you'd like pictures of it, its about 2 inches.
-This engine doesn't leak a drop of oil and runs so smooth you can't see any smoke out of the back.
-I have a total of $32,000 invested into this truck my half cut and install of the 1KZTE was $10,000 alone. So please don't be dreaming of owning this truck for a few thousand dollars. My reserve is set at a number much lower than you could ever recreate this truck for and the reserve reflects the fact that it has rust on the body. The frame as mentioned is absolutely perfect.
-E brake works but must be adjusted seasonally as all Toyota Ebrakes.
-Horn does not work, will need to be wired. Takes 10 mins
-No hail damage or other damage, hood scoop is not factory but came with a retro-kit to use the intercooler.
This truck has no been bashed around or abused, doesn't leak and will never leave you stranded. I recommend a new steering box which is a standard US part found online here on ebay or even your local parts store. Other parts are also sourced anywhere as the axles are the same as the USDM solid axle 80s toyota pickups. Engine parts can be bought from 7 US and unlimited amounts of stores outside the US. I can help you arrange shipping anywhere you like. I can also pick you up at the airport (MSP) feel free to drive it back with confidence to anywhere in the world. It does come with a rim matching spare with a new mud terrain on it. The title is in hand and in my name. The title is a modified title status because of the modifications on the truck 4 trucks were used in the making of this build, 03 Tacoma, 95 4runner (firewall and dash ect) 1980 Pickup (front suspension LHD swap components and the 01 Hilux front cut from Australia plus all the labor that's why I have 32k into it. The truck is an on going project but its sick looking and fun to drive, itll last for ever and will be the last thing standing every time. Please feel free to ask questions about the truck.
For more information, particular questions or pictures please text me or call me at 612-964-7609 Serious buyer inquires only please, I know how popular these trucks are.
Thanks so much for checking it out!!
