Car description

Here is a VERY nice Classic 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser. This 40 year old Iconic truck is from the dry desert country of northern Nevada, which means that it has escaped the ravages of rust that are so common with any vintage classic vehicle. This truck is as rust free as any one that you will be able to find. It is in stock form with the exception of the seats and the wheels and tires, which translates that it hasn't been dinked with and cut up and modified like 90% of the other FJ40's out there. Body is in great shape, has a nice respray of the original classic 854 Sky Blue factory color, as well as new weather stripping on front and rear barn doors, and new wipes and glass channels on front door glass. It sports its original hard top that is in excellent condition. Odometer reads 96218, but how accurate that is??, vintage 40 year old vehicle! Also, 1977 is a great year because it has factory disc brakes! It still has its original 2F motor which runs great and is quiet and smooth- no bad noises, along with factory 4 speed transmission. It appears all original but is now sporting a Weber 2 barrel carb and header pipe exhaust that is replacing the original cast exhaust manifolds that were prone to cracking. Some smog equipment still remains. The truck has been cleaned up. Near new tires. If you are looking for a great driver to use everyday, or looking for a truck to do a 100 point restoration, this is an excellent candidate. These vintage 4x4's are rapidly appreciating, and appeal to not only the older crowd that grew up with them, but the younger people are very interested in them too- unlike muscle cars and other classic vehicles. I used to restore classicvehicles in a shop in the Midwest- our full show restorations would cost $80,000 to $130,000 depending on the scope of work and vehicle. We would kill to find rust free vehicles like this- most stuff is rusty junk in which you will spend thousands replacing rusty panels, and the end result is not as good as a rust free factory body. What I'm trying to impart is how important rust free is for a classic vehicle. This is a used older classic vehicle, and you should understand that it could, and will need some items that will need attention. Clean and clear Nevada title.
