Selling my 1987 Toyota Pickup. 2WD 5-speed, 204k miles. 7-foot long bed. Runs and drives great. I got it in a trade and used it for remodeling projects for a few months, now I don't really need it so it's up for sale.
Truck was brought up from California, cab and frame are rock solid, bed has some minor rust but still solid. Very quick and fun to drive. Lots of modifications and recent work including:
At 198k:New timing chainNew head gasketNew oil pumpNew water pumpNew rocker assembly270 cam & upgraded valve springs
At 180k:LCE de-smogOffenhauser dual plane intakeWeber 32/36 carbLCE plug wires and billet holder
Other parts:Belltech drop spindles and blocksBelltech shocksTubular exhaust header (unknown brand)Morimoto Sealed6 headlights with Hella relay harnessCorbeau Sport seatsCube short throw shifterSoftopperCurt trailer hitch3 sets of wheels and tires (alloys, original steelies, steelies with snow tires)Kenwood Bluetooth stereo with JL Audio speakers and 10" sub
Truck has a few minor problems, mostly cosmetic:Paint is Rustoleum Safety Red, looks good from 20 feet but has lots of orange peel and inconsistencies, really needs wet sandingSeats are beat up and uncomfortableWindshield trim is missingMinor exhaust manifold gasket leak
Overall though it is a good little truck and looks really cool, I just don't need a truck anymore and would rather spend the money on my other projects. I am entering the Lemons Rally next year so really could make use of the funds and space for that venture.
May be open to trades for interesting stuff like 70's/80's imports, old AMCs, etc. Not interested in motorcycles or newer cars.
