Car description |
---|
Moved to New Mexico 7 months ago. Decided that I'm not going to be taking the car with. It is currently located in Illinois. I would describe the car as a project that runs and drives. Needs TLC. Last year it had a low mileage jdm VVTI 2JZ installed, along with a custom Tweak'd wiring harness and Stu Hagen upgraded twin turbos. Other new goodies include 98 style heads and tails purchased new for $1400 from Curt at Elmhurst Toyota, and new oem brake calipers and rotors also installed by Elmhurst Toyota.
The main issues with the car are the interior, which is rough and likely to have mildew. There is also an electrical issue/drain; the battery is likely dead. Targa top is damaged and leaks. Front bumper was damaged by tow truck driver and is missing paint. The passenger door was jammed shut by Toyota dealer, while we were awaiting a new lock mechanism. Another odd quirk is that the car has no keyed ignition. It is started by a push button system. Also, odometer no longer works since the JDM VVTI swap.
An interesting fact about the car is that it was originally painted 1A1, or anthracite metallic, which is a very rare code on a 94.
I will try to get new pictures of the car. It has been sitting in the same place for 7 months at my parents house, but these two pictures were taken at the date of listing.
Comes with clean and clear Illinois title. Though now it may need to be classified as a Mileage Unknown vehicle. On Jul-02-17 at 15:36:54 PDT, seller added the following information:

I wouldn't recommend the purchase of this car by anyone that doesn't have the money/mechanical experience to fix it up.
