1994 Toyota 4Runner
Black, rear wheel drive, automatic, 3.0 liter SR5 4Runner. Has sunroof, tailgate, tow package and comes with uninstalled roof rack (Roof Rack in pictures has been taken off, Yamaha rack is included) and shop manuals.
Body is in great shape for its age. One small rust patch above right rear wheel well. Other than that body just has normal road wear, no dents, no other issues. Interior is clean and in good shape.
Engine received a top half rebuild, approx 4,000 miles ago. Firestone tires also have just 4,000 miles on them. Power brake booster and cooling fan system replaced within the last few years.
This 4Runner needs a new transmission. Also needs catalytic converter either replaced or removed and straight piped. On the more minor side, the parking brake cable needs replaced and the rear window requires you to assist it with your hand to retract into or fully extend from the tailgate. This could be remedied by disassembling the tailgate and replacing the mechanics but I never got around to it.
The vehicle ran approximately a year ago but no longer starts. I have not spent too much time investigating the cause, although I don't suspect it to be anything major. This 4Runner would make a great project and could be brought to life by someone with the time and/or funds to replace the transmission.
I've had this 4Runner since 2008, and bought it from close family friends who were the second owners. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and it served me well on several cross country trips and numerous backwood excursions. I was planning to eventually replace the transmission myself but currently do not have the time and now have a newer 4Runner.
You will need to either tow or trailer this one home. Buyer is responsible for pickup. Deposit of $500 required at purchase via paypal. Remaining purchase price needed in hand at time of pickup.
This 4Runner is located in Bellingham, WA and if you are local you're welcome to come look it over. I can be reached at 443-254-6306 and am happy to answer any questions or further describe it for you. Vehicle is also for sale locally.
