I bought a group of vehicles off a collector in Texas who needed room in one of his warehouses so he sold off a few vehicles. One of them was this 1974 Toyota Landcruiser BJ40 Diesel. It was the first nice BJ40 I had seen in a long time. I've kept in for personal use for a while but I have new baby and other vehicles and need to let it go. Here is what I know about it.
Condition:He had 2 warehouses full of vehicles and had a lot of vintage landcruisers, he had a mechanic who came to his shops and worked on them and restored them. This one had a frame on restoration a few years back. It was a southern Cruiser and very clean underneath, frame is solid no rust. Body is very straight and solid. Doors open and close solid and I haven't noticed any leaking inside or underneath. Motor cranks right up and runs strong no issues. 4x4 works great. Everything is factory and numbers matching. Floor has been rhino lined inside to match but it all looks very good and new interior, seats etc. It does have soft doors and soft top, currently it has hardtop and hard doors on because its getting colder in Tennessee. Only alteration I did was add a new rough country lift it gave it a great look. Tires are fresh and have plenty of tread left. Starts, runs, stops, etc all good. The truck runs strong and sounds great, that diesel and the look on this truck draws a ton of attention.
Known issues:The truck has been used and driven. Its not a perfect show vehicle but also not priced as such. It was painted with Dupont Matte Black paint which gives it a very tough and rare look. Paint does have some scratches here and there and body does have a chip here or there but it looks great overall. It has been really dry and dusty down here and in the pictures I had been driving the truck so its dirty and dusty. I will detail it up for whoever buys it and when its clean it really looks great.
Everything else:Overall its a great truck that is very hard to find with a strong diesel motor. He spent a lot of money on this truck and its a turn key truck. It has been driven and used and isn't perfect but its very straight and solid and a southern no rust truck. There aren't many of these left like this. Its ready to go anywhere and do anything it looks great doing it. If you have any questions or need any more pictures etc just let me know. Feel free to email at WholesaleChad@gmail.com. Thanks and good luck.
I can help arrange shipping or pickups from airport which is 30 minutes away.
