I just purchased this truck via ebay yesterday and decided it is not what I am looking for so I am going to put it back up for sale. I'm looking for something with less rust and I guess just more pristine. Not that it is a bad truck but it's for my wife and she wants something a little newer.Video herehttps://youtu.be/zi4jcIGhLk8I'll try to upload one with better lighting tomorrow. The pictures are from the previous ebay yesterday, will post up some more detailed shots when it is light tomorrow. I'm also going to keep tinkering with it the next few days and will update with any changes.First off, he truck is low miles for what it is. It lived in Wisconsin all its life and was supposedly taken very well care of, ut I have a feeling they mostly did the oil changes and fluids but ignored some of the small issues that can come from having a 140k truck. Appears to have not been driven with diff locks or in Low gear at all as that is where it wants to stay.Being that it is from the Midwest it has rust, ut probably pretty average for having lived in the Midwest all its life. When driving it home from Wisconsin to Cleveland it did pretty well as far as the driveline is concerned. There are some electrical things that need to be taken care of. The speedometer died (I can likely fix this in the next few days), he windows and the windshield wiper motors are pretty slow, nd the heat could be hotter, ut it did keep us warm driving through the winter storm this weekend so it's not like it doesn't work at all.I checked coolant and oil, o sludge, eems to have been changed at regular intervals. Both at the normal levels before and after driving 300 miles. This truck does have the longed for diff lockers. When I engage them they flash which I believe means they are trying to engage but haven't yet, ut my understanding is that the transfer case has to be in low for this to work so there may not be a problem.I'm not familiar with 80 series land cruisers but this one sounds like it might have an exhaust leak. Plenty of power but just a sound.I also tried to put the transfer case in low but it seems to want to stay in high for now. I imagine this hasn't been used in some time so it probably needs some luring on the linkage from what others tell me.It did drive well as far as the driveline is concerned. There was a little bit of shimmy in the steering wheel once getting up to 70mph and over that probably comes from the tires being older. I would suggest maybe freshening up the front end, alancing the tires. Nothing major, ust little back and forth in the steering wheel. This truck would be great for anyone in the midwest needing a bullet proof truck to drive around the city in the bad weather. The AWD worked great getting us home the 300+ miles to Cleveland. That said, f you want a rust free queen, ass on by. This one has the standard midwest rust. If you want a good 4WD that will get you around and you can wrench on to provide it some needed TLC to get it really great then maybe this one is for you. For me I'm looking for something a little more pristine for my ol' lady to drive.By all means please contact me with any questions as I want to make sure I am being as transparent as possible.$500 deposit due within 24 hours.Below is the description of the truck from the person I bought it from:"1994 Toyota LandCruiserFZJ80 /FJ80 with lockingdifferentials!
