Today up for bid is a 1985 Toyota Camry DLX Sedan. The car is powered by a 1.8L 1C-T Turbo Diesel 4 cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed automatic transaxle. In my opinion the car is in fair shape and it will need work before it can be driven on a daily basis. I purchased the car several months ago with a bad turbo. The turbo seals failed causing engine oil to flood the exhaust system. I purchased and installed a new turbo. I've driven the car around the block and it does smoke. I believe the exhaust system is full of oil from the failed turbo. The exhaust system will need to be cleaned or the car driven to burn off the accumulated oil. The engine seems to idle and run smoothly and the transmissions appears to shift through all the gears without issues. The body of the car does have rust. The driver's fender is rusted and there is also rust around the rear quarter panels. The floors, ocker panels, nd all the doors appear to have little to no rust. The paint is in good shape with no fading. All the glass is in good shape as well. The radio, ights, ipers, tc. all appear to be in working order. It does have cruise control however, do not if it works. The A/C and the fuel gauge are not working. The fitting from the radiator to the coolant overflow bottle is broken. It has power steering and power brakes. This would be a very nice project car. There aren't many of these older Toyota diesels around anymore. The car is nearly all original with 117k miles. It has the original owner's manual, loor mats, ub caps, ack, nd jack tools. I strongly encourage all potential buyers to come and inspect the vehicle before bidding.
