Selling Toyota pickup "Hilux" 1979 4x4, our cylinder; (Motor "22R" 2400 C.C.; Carbureted gasoline, ngine was newly repaired) This is a toyota classic model, s was precisely this model pickup with the brand "Toyota" Japan that started the production of the modern series of 4x4 pickups. This unit was restored and photos speak for themselves of the mint condition of this unit. This model unity and restoration process was styled to the vintage late 70's years with modern upgrades. Some will remember a similar unit was used in the production and filming of the move "Back to the future". In general the paint materials employed "Spie Hecker", f the german manufacturing processes "automotive refinish" quality excellence recognized worldwide. All the garment materials were also restored 100% to the highest quality. New "Mud Terrain" 32-11.50.R15 tires and alloy sport rims "off road". The truck has installed new front and back tail lights and ceiling lights. It has a fitted luggage cart, eadset penetration halogen headlights for off roading. Four wheel drive works 100%, n truth this is a genuine "tank" moving when it has 4x4 engaged.
The unit has excellent handling, ero corrosion/rust in all its structure and/or body in general. The truck has no structural damage or dents, he whole chassis is seamless and has never been in a accident. This unit is never been "jeepeada" and is in 100% in standards with toyota factory specifications for the restoration. The truck has been lifted 3 inches through "Brio" in the spring (remember that this unit is "Rigid Axle" with springs in the front).
***The Pickup has a clean title and all needed documentation from Oklahoma. The truck was also imported to Mexico and legalized there as well but I am selling it in the US. Selling reason is so I can move to the next restoration project.
The unit as a whole has some small dings but nothing relevant and/or of importance to the operation of this unit. Here is a detailed listing of other details the truck has:
The white reverse light on the back of the truck don't turn on when you shift and go in reverse. This will be necessary to replace the reverse light sensor. This was not done because we couldn't get the part locally (It costs $5 dls on ebay).
The 4x4 indicator on the dashboard doesn't turn on red when you shift to 4x4. The sensor needs to be replaced (this costs $5dls on ebay)
for sound system it will be necessary to change/upgrade the speakers.
It has a small leak of oil on the back right wheel axle where it needs a change in the rubber seal. I believe this costs around 10 dls for the seal plus labor.
The truck has a spare tire in good condition but needs a lift and tools to change tire.
The truck will need a good alarm since it doesn't have one at the moment.
After these points the truck is as shown in the pictures and has no mechanical defects or hidden problems. In general the automotibe unit is in excellent state in general since its preventive and corrective maintenance of the unit has been applied and shows in the images. Hoever its is necessary to emphasize obvious comments on the pickup, t is definetely not a "new" unit; we are talking about a used vehicle 36 years old; I beleive the truck is in immaculate condition but not new condition. I would also like to clarify that I no longer have a schedule or journal of maintenance for this unit. All the comments I have outlined are with great objectivity, larity and respect.
Please note I had originally listed the truck a few weeks ago but teporary delisted it because I took a family trip. For more information and/or more pictures please contact me via ebayand I'll answer asap.
Q: Are you in the US and vehicle is licensed in the US ? Jul-13-15 A: Hello, he pickup is currently located in Mexico where it was restored upon purchase I will have the truck shipped via 'castores' transports to Laredo for delivery which will take 3-5 business days to get there. The pickup has a clean title from Oklahoma and was exported to Mexico in Feb 2001 since then has had Jalisco, exico licence plates which have been paid upto 2015. Once in the US it will need to be registered again for use there.
