BJ40, Rare Diesel in Excellent Condition

Own this rare 1978 BJ40, hich was recently imported from Costa Rica. The vehicle was purchased from a mechanic in Costa Rica, ho took care of the vehicle as a mechanic would and has years of experience with this type of vehicle.

All the import paperwork has been completed and we have a clear Oregon title. The headache of importing is all done - you do not have to wait to get the cruiser you want. The 4 speed - 3.0L diesel motor is known to be almost bullet proof and what's amazing is that it averages close to 30 mpg. The motor is in great condition - see pictures and listen to it purr in the video. The motor only has 60,000 original miles. We have done restoration work on the BJ from top to bottom, eplacing items that need to be repaired. The original diesel engine was inspected and cleaned; we replaced the battery, tarter, lutch, elts, alve-cover and oil pan gaskets. The interior has been updated with new seat-covers on both front and back seats, new seat belts, new headliner, new door panels, new rubber door seals, nd the floor was rhino-lined. The speedometer and oil pressure gages work, ut the gas and temp gages are not working.

On the exterior, e installed 5 new tires, new shocks, xles, heel bearings and the best part, dded power-steering. The BJ drives straight and has good power - see video.The body is straight and in great condition, here are some minor surface rust spots on the rear corner panel. The floor panel is solid and in good condition - some minor rust in the front under the driver side floor mat. The paint looks good and was recently done. This BJ is in great condition and just needs some minor details completed to make it perfect. This BJ40 is a head-turner and draws a lot of attention for how nice it looks and sounds.
